The Rastafari movement is a religious movement that believes that Haile Selassie I is the third incarnation of Jah, abbreviation of Yahweh, after Melchizedek and Jesus. Bob Marley was born on February 6, 1945 in Saint Ann (Jamaica) Jamaican mother and English father a Navy captain who had never known. Poor grew up in the ghetto of Trenchtown in Kingston, where he met other young people attracted by the music. In 1961, he recorded his first title that can not find success, but Bob continues to invest in music. In 1964 he founded with Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer, the group will be known later as "The Wailers". The group signs a contract with a production house and begins to produce interesting pieces, but Bob, in search of spirituality breaks the group dynamic in 1966 for marriage and then start working in the United States where he took theology courses.
In 1968, feeling finally, he is back home and start making a name in particular through their texts on issues such as peace, unity, social justice, poverty, the history of Africa, etc. the group signed with island label and released their first albums in the early 70's. Quickly, Bob, the main songwriter of the group stands out and in 1974 recorded his first solo album "Natty Dread" and the album, although still the Wailers mentioned, we must recognize that training has changed dramatically with the departure of Tosh special and Wailer. Success is once more to go from that moment and not just Bob. Albums followed ("Rastaman Vibration", "Exodus," "Kaya", etc.). And success can not be denied. But in 1978, Bob Marley learns who is suffering from cancer. He drags his illness for three years without worrying too much and continues to perform in concerts and recording values in their last two albums of "Survival" and "Rebellion". On the latter as "Jah Love always" and "Redemption Song by Bob are songs of farewell to the audience. This is the May 11, 1981 Bob Marley died in Miami, but his story does not end with his death because his work is still Bob Marley relevant and remains the standard bearer of reggae.
